If you're stuck with 'Writer's block', follow these methods and you will find that there is a way around the wall.
- It is absolute nonsense. There are millions of things to help trigger ideas and the first thing that you will have to do is remove the label of 'Writer's block' or you find that you are the one who is pushing the wall in front of yourself.
- Think about where you write. Do you write in your office? On the sofa? Now stand up, move across the room and go outside. You will find that by changing your scenery where you write will make a huge impact on your mood and your writing.
- Get a pair of headphones and sit and listen to music. Music is a great source of ideas and this can help influence the style of your writing.
- Daydream, look out the window and watch people. The only way you can write successfully about people is to be out there and experience it first hand. Go and experience life and you can often work your own experiences into your writing. Some of our best ideas come to us when we are not looking for them.
- 'Well OK, how do I structure my story? I'm not really sure what to do ... ' Just write. Set yourself a time limit and write whatever comes into your head. It's not all bad what you can come up with while doing this. If you sit and worry about your story, it will show. Write how it should be written, honest and what you feel is right.
